Swim Team Update - Week of 11/25/19

Good evening everyone,

Happy Thanksgiving week! Please check the reminders and our schedule below. Lineups for both Solon Relays and Pyamtuning Invitational will be posted at practice starting tomorrow.

Reminders:
1.) Student-athletes taking College Credit Plus (CCP) classes, I need your grade forms as soon as possible. We have the most students of any Mentor HS team taking CCP classes, which is awesome! However, I have yet to receive any forms. Please turn these forms in directly to me. Ohio High School Athletic Association requires you to submit this before you are able to swim a meet for the school. An extra copy is attached to this email. If you are in an online class, you may just print out your grade-book report.

2.) Pay to play has been posted for the swim team roster in Infinite Campus. Please have this paid by the first meet that you will swim in. If you have any questions or believe there is an error, please reach out to the HS athletic office atCassella@mentorschools.org or 440.974.5304. Thank you!

Swim Team Update - Week of 11/18/19

Good evening everyone,

Our team reminders and schedule for this week are included below. Have a great week!

Reminders:
1.) Senior banner pictures will be taken Monday, Nov 18th, at 2:15 pm in the High School Gym hallway/Gym. For pictures, please wear team warm-up top and team warm-up bottom/black pants. If you do not have a warm-up jacket, please share so that we have a consistent look across all senior banners. There will be an XL jacket in the athletic office that can be borrowed. After senior banner photos are taken, report to practice. If you are not able to attend at the assigned time, you will need to schedule an individual photo with the photographer.
2.) Pay to play has been posted for the swim team roster in Infinite Campus. If there are any errors or questions, please reach out to the athletic office. Thank you!

4.) For practice absences, please send us a quick email me with date and reason (doc appointment, family emergency, sick, sport, etc.) so that we can update attendance. Please also make sure that you are getting missed practices made up. Thank you!

Swim Team Update - Week of 11/11/19

Good evening everyone,

A lot of promising signs from our first round of time trials this past Friday! Listed below are a few reminders as we near our first meets at the end of the month. Please try to get these items completed when you get a chance.

Reminders:
1.) From last week, the swimsuit order deadline was Friday. If you haven't placed an order yet, please complete this as soon as possible. If you do not wish to use the team suit, you will need a solid all-black suit. https://aquaticoutfittersofohio.com/collections/mentor-cardinals
2.) Additional copies of the spirt-wear order forms are attached to this email. Orders are due this Wednesday, 11/13/19. Please make checks payable to the Mentor Lane Line Club (our booster organization). Remember that everyone needs to get the team T-shirt at 10$/14$ if adding your name to the back. This covers your team shirt and also LCC dues for bus snacks, swim caps, equipment, etc. throughout the season.
3.) There will be a Lane Line Club booster meeting on Tue 11/12 at 6:15 pm in the HS Library. This is a phenomenal opportunity to help support our student-athletes toward a great season.
4.) The High School Winter Sports Meeting for all parents and athletes will be held Tue 11/12 at 7:00 pm in the HS Fine Arts Center. If you played a fall sport or attended for a sibling, you do not need to attend.

Swim Team Update - Week of 11/4/19

Good afternoon everyone,

A great week of practice, enjoyed the pumpkin relays on Thursday! Stay focused on our goals of commitment, trust, and caring.

Third Week Reminders:
1.) Swimmers will receive result letters from initial time trials tomorrow. This will indicate team membership for 2019-2020.
2.) If you are placing orders for suits, please try to complete orders by the end of this week. If you do not wish to use the team suit, you will need a solid all black suit. Order instructions are linked here  https://aquaticoutfittersofohio.com/pages/mentor-cardinals
3.) Our spirit wear form for this season has been attached. These will also be passed out at practice in hard copy form. Completed orders will be due Wed Nov 13th.
