High School Swim Team Update - Week of 1/1/24

Good morning everyone,

I hope everyone has been enjoying some time off school. As we come up on the second week of break, the GCC league invitational will be this Saturday at Cleveland State. Our team reminders and practice schedule for this week are included below.

Reminders:
1.) Please be sure that you are getting missed practices made up. A signup sheet for makeup practice is linked here. Please try to sign up 24 hours in advance.
2.) For practice, you will need your suit, towel, goggles, and swim cap (if you prefer one).

Great work at Winter Champs last weekend! The teams combined for 62 season best times on the way to 3rd and 13th place finishes out of 35 schools from Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. High School Swim Team Update - Week of 12/11/23

Good morning everyone,

The teams had a great weekend in dual meet action. The girls came up short after a close meet to a strong Shaker squad but added wins against NDCL, VASJ, Chardon, and Riverside to improve to 5-1. The boys topped Shaker, NDCL, VASJ, Chardon, and Riverside to improve to 6-0. Swimmers combined to set 89 season best times between the meets. Results and top times have been updated on the team website.  Our reminders and schedule for the week are included below.

Reminders:
1.) Our Winter Champs Invitational on Saturday is broken into an A flight and B flight based on qualifying times. A prelims can qualify swimmers to A finals in the evening. A bus will return mid afternoon with swimmers from B flight and swimmers that did not advance from A prelims. Swimmers qualifying from A prelims to A finals will be able to leave with parents in between sessions or stay at Spire with a coach. A bus will still be available after A finals to return to the HS.

High School Swim Team Update - Week of 12/4/23

Good morning everyone,

Excellent swimming at our first meets! Both teams picked up wins against Perry on Wednesday and finished 2nd of 31 teams at Hilltopper Invitational on Saturday! Results and top times have been updated on the team website. Our reminders and schedule for the week are included below.

Reminders:
1.) We are in need of help timing for our home meets on Friday and Saturday. If you are able to help us out, please place your name on the linked timer signup sheet. We need a lot of timers to be able to host the meet and really appreciate anyone who can help us out. Timers do get into the meets for free. Thank you to everyone who has helped us with timing already!
2.) The first team pasta party will be this week after the regular practice on Thursday. It looks like we still could use a third volunteer if a parent is able to help out. The location will be 9601 Little Mountain Rd, Kirtland Hills 44060.
