Great job at the meets this past weekend! Swimmers combined to set a staggering 106 best times from the two meets! On Tuesday, both teams defeated Perry. On Saturday, both teams defeated Riverside and Wickliffe. With the wins, the boys team improved to 12-2 and the girls 10-3. Results and top times have been updated on the team website. Our team reminders and schedule for the week are included below.
Reminders:
1.) Please try your hardest to make each day of practice on taper. We want to conserve energy as we drop yards and intensity of our final practices to set us up for the best possible time drops at our respective championship meets. This is a scheduled controlled drop, with each day having an impact. Try to avoid activities that take a lot of energy or might lead to injury, especially lifting, etc. Avoid junk food, instead try for pasta/carbs before we swim. Last, make sure you are getting a good night of sleep.
2.) Swimmers entered in Canton Champs will conclude their taper and season with the meet Saturday at Canton Timken Natatorium. Lineups will be posted at practice starting tomorrow.
3.) For practice absences, please send us a quick email with the date and reason (doc appointment, family emergency, sick, sport, etc.) so that we can update attendance. Please make sure that you are getting missed practices made up. Thank you!
